Via Bene Diction Blogs On, The Corner is inviting bloggers to compile and submit a list of their best five posts of the year.
This does seem like a good way to close off my first full calendar year, so here are my choices, in chronological order:
- In "Unpaid advertising" underscores the intellectual dishonesty of abortion-rights rhetoric, I dissected the sorts of arguments used by a fledgling abortion-advocacy group, Canadians for Choice.
- God's "perfect will" and Romans 12 is an exposition of Rom. 12:1-2 and what it means to be in "God's perfect will."
- A continuation of the same series, Fleece, peace, and the "still small voice" examined some of the ways people attempt to discern God's will for their lives.
- Welcome to the Church of the Holy Horseshoe was a satirical article about some of the extreme hairsplitting practiced by KJV-onlyists in the name of "defending" the Bible.
- Finally, given my focus on literary and other reviews, I would be remiss if I did not include what I consider my personal best review: A life on the ocean waves, on Yann Martel's The Life of Pi.
If you want to participate in this end-of-year round-up, the instructions are here.
